As of
5/3/2008, the current SRCSD Service Area includes all properties within
the Sacramento County Urban Service Boundary (USB) with the exception of
Rancho Murieta (Sacramento International Airport?) The SRCSD Service Area
also includes South Folsom (SOIA approved by LAFCo 6/6/01.) and the City
of West Sacramento which was annexed into the SRCSD Service Area 04/06/04.
The SRCSD Master Plan 2000 (MP 2000), included both these areas within
their Service Area when developing the Capitol Improvement Program (CIP).
The MP 2000 also studied areas that were outside the USB (such as the area
South of Elk Grove, Placer Vineyards, The East County Area and the
Northern Territories); however these areas were not included in the CIP
for capacity analysis. SRCSD is able to study areas that lie outside the
USB (and therefore outside its Sphere of Influence (SOI)) to determine any
potential impacts these areas may have should the appropriate land use
authorities allow future development in these areas; however SRCSD cannot
actively plan for these areas. In 1998 the unincorporated RCCC facility
was annexed into both CSD-1 and SRCSD. Also, the Delta towns of Walnut
Grove, Locke and Courtland have been annexed into both CSD-1 and SRCSD
(07/01/04.) The SOI of both Districts were amended to include the
Greenbriar territory, northwest of
the
City of Sacramento
